Are you a compassionate, detail-driven professional with a passion for making a real difference? We’re on the lookout for a highly organised Medical Secretary to become a vital part of our Community Outpatient Service providing expert secretarial support to our visiting consultants.

Main duties of the job
To provide a secretarial and support role to medical and surgical Consultants and to provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive medical secretarial service in a range of different specialties.
The post holder acts as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Consultants.

- Good standard of general education.
- AMSPAR or equivalent Medical Secretary Course or recent relevant work experience / RSA audio touch typing or equivalent.
- GCSE’s or equivalent.
Experience

- Knowledge of outpatient clinics.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Excellent WP / IT skills (MS Office or equivalent).
- Good organisational skills.
- Medical Terminology.
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
