Job overview

Sheldon ward is a 19 bedded medical ward specialising in rehabilitation and rheumatology. Our team are friendly and welcoming.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy and dynamic nursing team. This is a challenging role that requires commitment and a positive leadership approach towards change

You will be required to have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff. You will be required to manage and control the activities of the ward in an effective and efficient manner.

**Please note that we have no access to OSCE support courses, and nurses pending registration are welcome to apply but must be able to evidence that they have satisfied the NMC Objective Structured Clinical Examination Test of Competence**

Main duties of the job

To ensure the smooth running of the ward encompassing a safe patients journey from admission to discharge

Support the ward manager to ensure care quality performance and clinical activity by providing professional leadership and guidance .

Act as a role model and support junior colleagues

Coordinate the shift and liaise with the MDT
