Job overview

To provide administrative support to the School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

Main duties of the job

The role is to support the admin team to meet it's contractual obligations to send GP notifications for children who have received their immunisations within 1 day of them taking place.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSEs Grade C or equivalent including Maths and English
  • Computer skills qualification or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a clerical/Admin role
  • Evidence of working with computer systems
  • Experience of data entering

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal, including communicating with children and young people
  • Ability to provide information to others in a sensitive and supportive manner
  • Knowledge of administrative systems for example Microsoft Office and patient information systems, Rio
  • Advanced keyboard skills
  • Ability to problem solve and respond to queries
  • Good organisational skills and able to use initiative appropriately with only little supervision.
