An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a well-established community pulmonary rehabilitation team here in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, supporting patients to make positive life choices that enhance their lives and health. We are looking for an administrator to join our team.
As part of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation team you will be expected to work independently in liaison with the Clinical Lead, physiotherapists, nurses and rehabilitation technicians to assist them in delivering care to patients in our community.
You will work alongside and build relationships with the Community Respiratory Nursing teams, local GP surgeries, secondary care Respiratory colleagues and other community teams. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and an ability to work flexibly within the team.

Main duties of the job
- Assisting the Pulmonary Rehabilitation service with caseload administration
- To undertake routine clerical, IT and word processing, data inputting, filing, photocopying and general office duties
- Telephone duties, ensuring that all calls are received in an efficient and helpful maner with messages recorded accurately and actioned in a timely manner
- Ordering of stores, stamps and equipment and maintaining relevant records
- Dealing with routine correspondance and enquiries on own initiative
- To ensure the timely distribution of mail, email and correspondance within the team.
- Organise any sessions / appointments for clinicians
- Follow up on non-attendees and defaulters of their scheduled appointments as requested by the healthcare professional
- Set up Pulmonary Rehabilitation clinics and programmes for clinicians
- Minute taking for team meetings

- Experience of providing clerical work / reception work within an office environment
- Experience of compiling reports in a well presented manner for dissemination
- Experience of dealing with enquiries both face to face and on the telephone, understanding when it is appropriate to seek guidance

- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Good level of education - 3 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*- C) or equivalent
