We are thrilled to announce that  we are recruiting Diagnostic Radiographers to join our team. 

We are looking for highly motivated Radiographers to join our very busy Radiology team here at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Main duties of the job

These posts would be suitable for newly qualified or experienced Radiographers who would be provided with the opportunity to develop their skills.  

Main duties include:

  • Carry out quality x-ray imaging in line with departmental protocols
  • Undertake theatre, fluoroscopy and mobile x-ray procedures
  • Participate in the on call and out-of-hours x-ray service
  • Assist in training students and apprentices
  • To provide a high-quality service for patients across the department
  • To carry out clinical and administrative work as a member of the Radiology team

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc Hon Diagnostic Radiography/ DCR (score 2 for prospective 2026 graduates)
  • HCPC registration (score 2 for prospective 2026 graduates)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience working in general radiography during training or in previous position
  • Experience in out of hours working during training
  • Training in CT head scanning
Desirable criteria
  • Experience or training in an NHS Hospital
