Pharmacy Technician - Care Homes Team

Essential criteria

BTEC Pharmaceutical Science & NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy
Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Maintains a portfolio of CPD in line with regulatory body standards

Experience

Essential criteria

Able to demonstrate experience working within a multidisciplinary team
Experience of providing a pharmacy service on a hospital ward and counselling patients.
Experience of using a range of medicines management procedures and practices

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria

Proficient in all Microsoft Office software with proven computer literacy and IT skills
Knowledge of using search engines/medical databases to retrieve information
Evidence of undertaking medicine management audits
Evidence of good analytical skills and shows attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Peer MDT diagnostic decision-making, with the support of the senior clinical MDT where required
Tech-enabled outcome report writing
Outcome calls with parents and families (via video call)

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
