Job overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 6 Neurological Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

As a specialised physiotherapist you will be integral in supporting and delivering Neuro services at SaTH. You will have a varied caseload of referrals including Stroke, MS, Parkinson's disease, Spinal injuries and FND. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in the management of patients with spasticity and work in the hydrotherapy pool.

In Shropshire we put high quality patient care at the centre of everything we do.  This is a great time to join our Neuro team at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

Main duties of the job

You will be working at PRH alongside our Band 7 clinical lead Physiotherapist, B6 physiotherapist and Therapy support worker and you will also have close links to our spasticity advanced practice physiotherapist and our neuro OT.

You will be supported by our Outpatient Team Manager, Operational Manager and Centre Manager and Head of Profession.

The department has close links with the Stroke ward at PRH, OT, the early supported discharge team and the community teams in Shropshire.

The department is involved in research projects and has close links with HEI's providing clinical placements and working closely to identify opportunities for staff.  We are committed to allocated CPD time, clinical outcomes and providing a responsive patient focused service.

Working for our organisation

Within outpatients we have a very experienced team including Band 5 to Band 8B Therapists and Support Workers from Band 2 - 4. We have two well equipped gymnasiums and a hydrotherapy pool.

Teamworking is our strength and the atmosphere in the department is very friendly, supportive and proactive. Alongside clinical duties staff have allocated SPA time to support personal and service development. We have a proven track record of developing skills in our staff.
