Are you up for a challenge? We provide the temporary staffing service for the whole of Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running to complement our well established team. This is a fast paced, sometimes difficult, environment which requires a calm and professional approach to dealing with urgent requests to provide cover.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, possess good communication skills and have a good knowledge of computer systems, be especially skilled in Excel, as well as having an excellent eye for detail. Recent evidence of working in a clerical role or call centre is essential and evidence of working in a mental health setting would be advantageous.
The role involves shift work operating seven days a week between the hours of 0730 and 2200.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The AWP Temporary Staffing Co-ordinator will work as part of the AWP temporary staffing team with the objective of providing a comprehensive high quality temporary staffing and advisory service to all users of the AWP Temporary Staffing service.
The primary aim of the role is receive and cover shifts with appropriate workers in a timely and efficient manner.
The post holder will be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of AWP Temporary Staffing Service by processing requests as requested by wards/departments utilising the Trust’s e-Roster system.
Establish and maintain excellent communication and working relationships with managers and Temporary workers alike by being the first point of contact for the AWP Temporary Staffing service.
Be responsible for resolving all enquiries efficiently and courteously, in a fast paced and at times challenging environment.
To act as the focal point for all e-Rostering queries, password resets and to provide administrative support to the Payroll function.

- Experience of working independently in an office environment
- Experience of accurate data input and working with a high attention to detail
- Experience of using a variety of software packages commonly used within an office environment.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of using and working knowledge of electronic rostering systems.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment or telephone contact centre
Knowledge

- Good working knowledge of excel to be able to create and manipulate data

- Able to maintain employee records using electronic roster systems and other IT systems with the required attention to detail.
- Able to appropriately update and inform managers and workers in accordance with the temporary staffing processes and procedures.
- Able to provide and receive routine information orally, in writing and electronically to work colleagues, patients, public and other external agencies on a daily basis in the course of the working day.
- Able to impart to and record information from employees of the Trust (as appropriate) which often requires tact, sensitivity and high level communication skills
- Able to undertake any other administrative duties as directed by the Team leader or other senior member of the AWP temporary staffing team.
- Able to provide support and flexibility to the team to ensure a high level of service provision is maintained.
