The successful applicant will deliver specialist occupational therapy to our older adult population with both complex functional and organic mental health difficulties, taking referrals from the BANES Older Adult Community Mental Health Team. We hold weekly OT/Physiotherapy referrals meetings to review and triage referrals.
You will work alongside another B6 Occupational Therapist, have support from an OT Apprentice and will benefit from close working relationships with Physiotherapy. This role is supervised by a B7 Occupational Therapist.
The post holder will work closely with the MDT, providing the occupational perspective, to deliver person centred interventions for community services users. You will work autonomously, and be highly skilled in time management, prioritisation and risk assessment to be able to manage a small caseload effectively and safely. You will be experienced in delivering a range of assessments, and both group and individual interventions, and will take an active role in MDT and professionals meetings.
The post is based in Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a beautiful city, surrounded by amazing countryside locations, and offering an impressive variety of arts, culture and sports. Easily commutable from surrounding areas, including excellent bus and rail links to Bristol, London and beyond, there is staff parking available as well as access to pool cars, charge points for electric cars, and lock up facilities for those cycling to work.
