Infection Prevention and Control Band 3 Administrator

The Infection Prevention and Control Team (IP&CT) consists of specialist infection control nurses and support staff who provide infection control surveillance, education and support to the whole of the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in matters related to infection prevention and control.

The  team is now looking for a motivated, hard working administrator with the ability to work as part of a fast paced team and also manage their own workload.   

This is a new post that has been created in response to the increased workload due to COVID-19.  Under the direction of the Project Officer / PA to the IP&C Team the post holder will work closely as part of the support staff, providing a comprehensive administrative support function to the specialist infection control nurses.   

The work is varied and interesting and would suit someone with initiative who has good keyboard / secretarial and administrative skills and is looking to develop further.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
