Health Care Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Assistant to join our busy and friendly Outpatient Department based at Musgrove Park hospital.

The role will be varied, working with a range of specialities where you can  enhance your skills and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional, dedicated team player who shares our commitment to providing the highest standards of nursing care and professionalism.

Our team is passionate, caring, independent and enterprising. As a work environment our hospital is friendly and welcoming, with an accessible and approachable management team. The Department holds a recent CQC rating of “Good”.

The General outpatient department has 15 clinic suites and 3 treatment rooms, our full day duties start at 8:30 in the morning and finish at 17:45pm, we currently open until 20:00 on a Monday and Thursday. Staffing rosters are completed 6 weeks in advance, and we roster staff to work on after 17.45, or until 20.00hrs on a rota basis to meet the needs of late running and evening clinics. Shifts may include half days, either morning or afternoon working, according to clinic demand.  Weekend clinics may be required in the future.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
