Job overview
We are looking for a motivated Healthcare Support Worker to join our Dermatology team within the Yeovil Hospital Main Outpatients Department.
You will need to be committed to delivering safe, high quality care and have excellent communication and IT skills.
The post holder will be working as part of an extended dermatology medical and nursing team. Based in out-patients, this role will deliver care to dermatology patients undergoing a range of treatments and investigations such as patch testing, minor surgery and delivering nurse education to improve outcomes for patients within these services.
We provide a 7-day service for our dermatology patients so the roles will include some weekend working.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidates will have recent dermatology experience, but we would welcome applications for those keen to develop knowledge and experience in this speciality. There will be a period of training and supervision, but when competent, you will working without supervision.
There is scope for further development within the role.
You will also have the ability to work flexibly and be able to meet the needs of the service.
It is essential that you have the experience and commitment to support to drive the service forward.

Essential criteria
- A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3. This could be a Vocational NVQ, BTEC or equivalent international qualification in healthcare or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of experience.
Experience

- Previous recent experience of working within an acute/ community setting.
- Excellent patient care
- Experience of independent working
- Willing and eager to learn new things
