Mental Health Professional, Band 6

Band 6

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist?

This is a really exciting time to join our Home Treatment Services in Somerset.

We are delighted to have been successful in receiving additional investment  to our Home Treatment Services and we are now providing a significantly improved service and pathway for people coming into contact with our teams.

We have recently been involved in collaboration with the  Local Authority and specialist mental health providers to  provide a Step- Up  facility in Yeovil which this Home Treatment Team supports . This is  providing an effective treatment pathway as an alternative to a hospital admission and support more effective recovery.

We are seeking a registered and highly motivated mental health professional who is interested in working in the Home Treatment Team (Crisis Service), based in Yeovil.

You'll deliver high-quality rapid assessments, including assessment of risk, formulations and care plans for people who present in a mental health crisis.  Assessments can take place in mental health, acute care and community settings.

You will be joining a rapidly expanding Multi-Disciplinary Team including Psychologists and Psychiatrist. You'll be a key member of the team, liaising with statutory services and other agencies.

The work includes gatekeeping admissions and facilitating discharge and you will be expected to maintain a high standard of electronic patient records.

Our current shift pattern supports a positive work life balance with 3 x 12.5 hr shifts being worked in a full week, allowing plenty of time away from the workplace to recharge and take care of yourself. Our trust has excellent Wellbeing support for staff.

This will involve flexible working across a 24-hour shift rota (days, evenings and night shifts) in a 7 day a week service.
