Working for our organisation

Connnnect Healthcare Rotherham Community Interest Company (CIC) is a federation of 28 GP practices in Rotherham. The organisation is led by a Board of representatives from general practice in the Borough, with executive leadership from a Medical Director on a part-time basis.

The organisation currently delivers extended access primary care services in Rotherham and a Physio First service in partnership with the local acute and community trust, the largest of its kind currently operating. In addition, the organisation is supporting the development of primary care networks and manages delivery of training and development to large cohorts of the general practice workforce.

We are a GP-led organisation and aim to provide services for direct patient care and to support GP practices. We will be a patient-centred, working collaboratively across general practice and with partners to provide high-quality services, positive working experiences for our staff, and to secure the sustainability of general practice in Rotherham

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • Knowledge of TPP SystmOne
  • • Knowledge of national and local developments in integrating health and social care
  • • Knowledge of primary care - general practice, community, or commissioning
Desirable criteria
  • • Project management training
  • • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to role

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Experience in project and change management
  • • Experience of strategic planning
  • • Experience of leading projects and implementing change with supervision if the CD’s or the line manager
  • • Experience of building and nurturing relationships in challenging and multi-stakeholder environments
  • • Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of services
  • • Experience in communications and stakeholder management, and engagement
  • • A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it
Desirable criteria
  • • Experience of working in the public sector in Doncaster
  • • Experience working in/with health & social care
