Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an forward thinking, compassionate and proactive Dietitian to lead the Dietetic Service at Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Trust. Covering Doncaster (inpatients and community) and Rotherham (inpatients), based at Tickhill Road Hospital in Doncaster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong clinical, managerial, and operational leadership to the Dietetic service, to deliver high quality and efficient care to patients throughout Doncaster.

The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues across the many well established and growing nutrition support pathways to ensure patients receives a seamless and effective service. They will also work with health and social care providers to ensure the appropriate prescribing of Oral Nutritional Supplements throughout Doncaster, working within evidence based practice and guidelines.

They will be responsible for the performance monitoring of the service and implementing innovative ways of working to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in order to provide high quality service to our patients. They will lead the oral nutrition support and enteral feeding pathways. 

The successful applicant should be a qualified dietitian, with significant  experience of working within nutrition support both oral and enteral. They should have experience or are keen to develop in leading a team, operational and performance management with excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job

Clinically they will lead the oral nutrition support and enteral feeding pathway in the community. 

The post is 30 hours and flexible working is considered. Hybrid working is possible

Kknowledge, Training and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Degree or equivalent in Dietetics
  • Will be required to have Professional Registration with the HCPC
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience (2 years at Band 6 level within Nutrition support enteral and oral feeding experience)
