Working for our organisation
Connnnect Healthcare Rotherham Community Interest Company (CIC) is a federation of 28 GP practices in Rotherham. The organisation is led by a Board of representatives from general practice in the Borough, with executive leadership from a Medical Director on a part-time basis.
The organisation currently delivers extended access primary care services in Rotherham and a Physio First service in partnership with the local acute and community trust, the largest of its kind currently operating. In addition, the organisation is supporting the development of primary care networks and manages delivery of training and development to large cohorts of the general practice workforce.

We are a GP-led organisation and aim to provide services for direct patient care and to support GP practices. We will be a patient-centred, working collaboratively across general practice and with partners to provide high-quality services, positive working experiences for our staff, and to secure the sustainability of general practice in Rotherham

Essential criteria
- Experience of working directly in the NHS, adult health and social care, public health or community development context
- Experience of building relationships with patients and a range of organisations or service providers

- Good standard of general education
- Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement and self-development
Desirable criteria
- Professional/vocational qualification in a relevant field or profession (or equivalent)
Special Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of the wider determinants of health including social, economic and environmental factors
- An understanding of community development approaches to health and wellbeing issues
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of clinical staff and patients
- Knowledge of the VCS in Rotherham and/or how to find out about local services and how to support people access them
- People management skills
- Understanding of a personalised care approach and the skills required to support self-care
- Good working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Understanding of the need for robust Information Governance including Data Protection and Confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding issues
