About You:
You are a registered RMN / RN (Mental Health) or RNLD, with significant post-registration experience in CAMHS or a related setting. You bring:

Experience of child and adolescent mental health

Skills in assessment, care planning, and delivering therapeutic interventions

Ability to lead, supervise, and support junior staff

A collaborative and compassionate approach, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Be an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload of children and young people with complex mental health needs

Deliver specialist assessments, evidence-based interventions, and holistic treatment plans

Provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior team members

Collaborate with health, education, and social care professionals to deliver integrated, family-focused care

Contribute to service development and help drive best practice across CAMHS

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Current RMN / RN (Mental Health), or RMH / LD (Learning Disability) registration
- ENB 603 / Diploma in CAMH or equivalent Post registration training Teaching and Assessing ENB 998 / Mentorship or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Degree in relevant subject
- Non-medical prescriber
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant Post registration experience of including Band 6 in a Community CAMHS / Community LDMH / Community LD setting
- Recruitment / Selection and general HR management
- Operational Management experience
- Personnel Management experience
- Performing PDR’s
- Post registration experience equivalent to Masters level
Desirable criteria
- Budget management
- Setting and auditing clinical standards
- Utilising of research in practice
- Project Management
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Assessment and triage of referrals
- Knowledge of a broad range of therapy approaches to treatment
- Clinical practice relevant to the speciality
