Job overview

Permanent | 16 hrs per week

We are looking for a motivated, flexible, and innovative person to join our supportive BOPP's team (Burns, Orthopaedics, Plastics & Limb Reconstruction). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist and collaborative environment, primarily in outpatient settings, providing expert care to children with a range of upper limb conditions.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.

  • Extensive experience in paediatric hand therapy, with skills in splinting and scar management.

  • Experience in orthopaedics, trauma, burns, and plastics.

Join us and become part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding care and supporting your career growth.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide specialist hand therapy, splinting and rehabilitation for paediatric patients following elective and trauma surgery, orthopaedic and neuromuscular conditions.

  • Conduct upper limb functional and handwriting assessments to support surgical planning.

  • Lead on complex case management within a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Train and support less experienced team members.

  • Deliver training to the wider team and contribute to ongoing service development.
