Job overview
Fixed Term: 12 months | Full time
We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Physiotherapists to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. These exciting full-time roles offer nine-monthly rotations across both acute and community settings, giving you the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical experience.
You will be responsible for the routine assessment and management of a delegated caseload within the clinical specialties. You'll work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, prioritising and planning your caseload, and receiving regular supervision and guidance from senior staff.
About You:

Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.

Current HCPC registration.

Main duties of the job
You will report to the Team Leader, and your responsibilities will include:

Conduct physiotherapy assessments and provide evidence-based treatment.

Manage and prioritise a delegated caseload across rotating clinical areas.

Collaborate with colleagues across the multi-disciplinary team.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care and service delivery.

Participate in regular supervision, training and professional development.

Essential criteria
- HCPC registration
- Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy
- Portfolio evidence of reflective practice
- Good overall clinical record / profile
Desirable criteria
- Relevant post graduate clinical experience
- Membership of the APCP
- An under-graduate case study, essay or dissertation on a paediatric topic
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of team working
- Experience of working with children either professionally or socially
Desirable criteria
- Undergraduate clinical placements in adult burns & plastics
- Undergraduate clinical placements in paediatrics
- Evidence of extra responsibilities taken at undergraduate level
- Involvement in audit, research or service evaluation.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of the legal responsibilities of the profession
- Knowledge of clinical governance and it’s implications for services
- Awareness of own limitations
- Understanding of family / team dynamics and how to develop working relationships with all involved in the child’s care
- Understanding of data protection, confidentiality and health and safety requirements in meeting the needs of the child and family
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of consent issues specific to paediatrics
- Simple research methodology
- Background knowledge of common paediatric orthopaedic conditions
