We're looking for an enthusiastic Radiographer to join our dedicated and welcoming paediatric Radiology team. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality, child-centred diagnostic imaging service across Sheffield and surrounding areas.

About You:

HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographer (DCR/BSc) with post-qualification development and ICH-GCP certification.

Experienced in supporting clinical trials and delivering both general and complex imaging procedures in an NHS or similar setting.

Proven ability to manage multiple research projects and work effectively both independently and within a team.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Imaging Lead (interim) some of your responsibilities will include:

Deliver a high-quality, efficient paediatric research diagnostic imaging service as part of the radiography team at Sheffield Children's Hospital.

Support and guide clinical trials in diagnostic imaging, ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP, IR(ME)R 2024, HRA, MHRA, and Trust policies; coordinate approvals, maintain trial documentation, and liaise with regulatory authorities, sponsors, and participating sites.

Act as a role model, mentoring colleagues, contributing to the development of research policies and SOPs, resolving trial initiation issues, and deputising for the Research Lead as required.

Maintain professional diagnostic radiography skills, contribute to safe and high-quality imaging services, and provide guidance to modality leads, researchers, and trial teams to ensure smooth study delivery.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- HCPC registration
- DCR(R) / Degree in Radiography or recognised equivalent
- Evidence of post qualification study and career development
- ICH-GCP qualification
Desirable criteria
- Interest or CPD aimed at paediatric radiology imaging
- Project Management Qualification
- Postgraduate qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of Radiographic clinical practice in an NHS or similar organisational environment
- Experience of supporting clinical trials within radiology or related medical field.
- Experience in performing both general and complex imaging procedures.
- Experience of managing multiple projects / assignments independently and as a team
Desirable criteria
- Project Management
- Experience of undertaking audit to inform or produce changes to practice.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- In depth understanding of diagnostic imaging procedures and their application in clinical and research settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of secure electronic data transfer methods, ensuring patient and personal information is protected in line with GDPR, NHS, and research governance requirements.
- Awareness of ethical and regulatory processes for clinical trials including submissions to ethics committee.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory and clinical trial requirements into clear guidance for the team.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple clinical research projects simultaneously, ensuring trials are initiated, documented, and delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with governance requirements.
- Ability to communicate sensitive and confidential information concerning patients / families such as safeguarding or life-limiting conditions adhering to GDPR standards.
