Jessop Fertility offers a unique and dedicated service to couples who are experiencing fertility problems. Located in the Jessop Wing, Sheffield, Jessop Fertility is one of the UK's leading assisted conception centres. Our service is led by highly experiences NHS consultants who are experts in the field of infertility and reproductive surgery to ensure patients receive exceptional service with continuity of care.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in the provision of efficient, high quality and comprehensive administrative service to the Assisted Conception Unit and Jessop Fertility.
We are looking for enthusiastic and organised individual to facilitate the smooth running of the patient journey, ensuring that co-ordinated and streamlined administrative processes are implemented and followed.
Main duties of the job
To coordinate and assist the patient’s pathway through the Gynaecology and Reproductive Service to meet and maintain the 18 week targets. Using data collection and validation to monitor and report on clinic activity and utilisation. Working closely with the Service Coordinators to forward plan capacity both urgent and routine, ensuring patients are being treated in clinical priority and waiting time order.

Working in a strong multidisciplinary environment you will support the delivery of the Obstetric and Gynaecology service through delivering consistent, high quality processes and procedures that ensure the team provide the best possible service to the patients who access the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent demonstrable analytical skills) including English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
- NVQ Level 3 Administration or Customer Care or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Demonstrable short courses or equivalent experience in report writing, data collation and analysis of results.
Desirable criteria
- Proof of continuous self development
- Diploma-level qualification or equivalent experience
- ECDL

Essential criteria
- Relevant knowledge and experience of tracking patients through the NHS 18 week pathway
- Significant experience of working within an administrative and clerical role
- A demonstrable understanding of the importance of data quality and the impact of poor quality on operational systems/ patient care
- Successful delivery of a job role without close supervision
- Experience of working with databases, managing & processing data.
- A demonstrable understanding of Audit and the importance of quality management systems
- Working closely with senior managers and internal and external stakeholders
- Forward planning, horizon scanning for problems and troubleshooting under pressure
Desirable criteria
- Experience of delivering 1-1 training.
- Experience of Line management responsibility
- Experience of Lorenzo/Ideas or equivalent electronic patient record system
