If so, then we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our forward thinking and committed Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust based in East Staffordshire. 

Our service are uniquely integrated with all other Community Services within our geographical patch, ensuring that the patient is at the core of the care delivery. All Nursing and AHP services are co-located and sat within the same portfolio ensuring a comprehensive, supportive, collaborative leadership structure which you will contribute to and be a part of.

Main duties of the job

This role carries a responsibility to ensure clinical best practice is being informed and delivered in the Musculoskeletal Service . It is the key link between the services located in the East and all other system partners including wider MPFT colleagues, VSCE, PCN, ICB and the acute providers.

You will be an integral part of the Therapies Leadership team  which is multi-professional and collaborative, with objectives in its own right. We seek a like-minded individual who is forward thinking, innovative and keen to openly work with colleagues striving to move all our therapy teams forward as one.

Travelling across the patch will be required so access to a car and full drivers licence is preferred.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Professional Qualification and Registration in Allied Health Profession (AHP)
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching and mentoring qualifications
  • Advanced Clinical Practice qualification or working towards (*completion of this will enable the use of the protected title)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Able to demonstrate having worked in an autonomous expert role utilising clinical assessment skills in highly complex situations.
  • Have engaged in research and clinical audit activity.
  • Extensive clinical and leadership experience within a Physical health, mental health and/ or learning disability setting.
  • Experience of using Quality Improvement methodologies.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Highly advanced knowledge in Physical examination and assessment
  • Sound understanding of care delivery in the NHS, priorities, pressures and strategy
  • High level clinical assessment, examination, investigation and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to make critical judgements and decisions without policies or guidelines and without referring to a supervisor
Desirable criteria
  • Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP)
