COVID-19 Vacancy Senior Pharmacist COVID-19 vaccine

NHS AfC: Band 8a (subject to AfC banding)

A exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with attention to detail to support our ICS Lancashire and South Cumbria Medicines Management Lead for COVID-19 vaccines at Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit based in our Lancashire office with agile and flexible working from home.

Midlands and Lancashire CSU provides the full range of Medicines Management and Optimisation (MMO) services for a range of authorities including Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), NHS England and Local Authorities across the Midlands, North West and more widely.

The successful candidate will support the lead COVID-19 Pharmacist in Lancashire and South Cumbria and will contribute to ensuring the safe, effective and optimal use of the vaccines across the health economy. The role will be supporting the System Vaccination Operational Centre (SVOC) and wider staff working to ensure the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccination programme. Deputising for the lead pharmacist as required.

You must be a registered GPhC pharmacist with relevant experience in primary care or the hospital setting. The candidate must possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Familiarity with project management and prescribing datasets is desirable but general computer literacy is essential. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is vital. Evidence of continuing professional development is required.
We would strongly advise potential candidates to arrange an informal call to discuss this exciting opportunity before applying.

The role will be for a core 22.5 hours per week with potential for extra on-call hours working from home in evenings and weekends attracting AfC on-call pay.

You will be joining a forward thinking and successful organisation dedicated to delivering high quality services and developing better solutions to improve patient care for our clients.
