The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Business Support Officer (BSO) to join their Mental Health Support Team (MHST). The role is a permanent one and you will be working 37.5 hours a week, based at Severn Fields Health Village. You will need a full driving licence and access to a car insured for Business Use as this role requires you to be able to travel between sites and community locations as needed.
The MHST provides early intervention within schools to support children and young peoples' mental and emotional wellbeing.
As the BSO, you will establish and maintain a business support infrastructure necessary to assist the Service Manager, Team Managers and Performance Manager in meeting the Trusts objectives and targets. This will include the development of systems and processes to monitor performance against the Trust’s Key Performance Indicators (Quantity & Quality). You will analyse reports, extract data and feed this back in a format that can be used within Services/Teams for planning and supervision purposes.

- Request information / activity reports that are required on behalf of the Service Manager and Team Managers.
- Provide a central point of contact to respond to/resolve any queries where appropriate in relation to performance/outcomes.
- Provide administrative support.
- Attend and arrange meetings and take and distribute minutes and relevant information.
- Process and manage general HR relevant information and systems for staff within MHST.
- Contribute to a robust and strong cohesive framework from the established BSO network, providing support to colleagues to ensure consistency and equity of provision across Services/Teams as required.
- Provide regular monthly Service/Team updates as required.
- Ability to use software programs, including MS Office applications and Power BI, and a range of office equipment including multi-function device for photocopying, printing, scanning etc.
- Attend and participate in BSO Meetings in ST&W Care Group and work with BSOs and admin staff for collective peer support, sickness/leave cover and to keep abreast of updates relevant to role.
- Participate in regular supervision and deliver 1:1 supervision with identified administration staff as directed. Report any training issues and needs.
- To deliver appropriate training to staff and support induction for new members of staff and produce appropriate training plans/s for the role.
- Be accessible wherever possible at all times within core working hours.

Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 Business Administration (or equivalent level of experience)
- OCR/ RSA III or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- BTEC Diploma in Business Administration (Level 1)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience in administration duties. Previous experience of setting up office/ administrative systems
- Ability to plan, schedule and organise day to day work and travel between Trust sites across a wide geographical area as deemed necessary to Service requirements.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in the NHS with knowledge/experience of Patient Clinical Information Systems
Skills
Essential criteria
- Good working knowledge/experience of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise own workload and act on own initiative to agreed deadlines.
Knowledge

- Experience and knowledge of Power BI reports
