Hours – 30 hours to be worked over 5 days (Monday - Friday)
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to become a Ward Clerk. The role is to provide a confidential administrative and clerical support to the ward nursing team.
The role will include answering and responding to telephone queries, ordering supplies, preparing letters and routine documents, diary management, taking minutes and utilising the patient record system (Lorenzo) as well as other general office duties such as filing and photocopying.
The successful candidate will be a good communicator and team player, who is able to be flexible and adoptable to meet the needs of the service. You should possess good key board skills and have the ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
Ward 3 is an Adult Inpatient Ward based at the Harplands Hospital.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
