Older adults are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join the busy team. This is an exciting time for Older Adults as we are moving to a state of the art Modular Wards in the first quarter of 2019.

There are currently positions on the Older Adult Wards situated at the Royal Stoke and County Hospital sites. Please apply quickly for these posts as they are very popular due to the Employee Package that is on offer.
This includes:

• Preceptorship 6 month programme for newly qualified
• Rotational posts from acute admission area to wards
• Preparation for promotion within your nursing career
• Celebration of success evenings
• Revalidation support
• Staff wellbeing days
• Staff engagement strategy
• Health skills academy training centre on site.

Older Adults at Royal Stoke promote independence and are at the forefront of the Deconditioning Campaign. We have champions on each ward and are keen to ensure our patients are engaged in diversional therapies.

We are working closely with local partners to ensure a seamless patient journey from care settings to acute beds and home again. We have implemented a Red Bag scheme, which improves communication between facilities and help towards reducing length of stay within this client group.

Within our emergency department we are proud to operate a “Frailty Front Door” service which prioritises the ‘right patient into the right place at the right time’. Following the commencement of this service our feedback has been extremely positive.

We are proud to promote and support staff that have the energy and drive to succeed in wanting to further their careers. The post holder will have excellent communication skills and have the ability, drive and enthusiasm to work within a motivated team to provide high quality patient care.

“We ensure excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. We believe we are the best at what we do and want to keep it that way.”

We are Proud to Care.
