Job overview
The West Suffolk Hospital Foundation Trust Endoscopy Unit is excited to announce vacancies for ambitious and passionate registered nurses to learn new skills and explore a rewarding career in our JAG (Joint Advisory Group) accredited unit. Although it is desirable to have previous endoscopy experience full training will be provided.
We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, who have a kind and caring attitude who wish to expand their skills in the health care setting and develop their leadership skills.
Main duties of the job
The Endoscopy unit is a busy JAG accredited Unit undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. As an Endoscopy staff nurse you will be trained to rotate around all sub specialities within the unit. This includes Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy and Cystoscopy. Education and qualifications
Essential criteria
- • RGN Level 1 or 2 (NMC Registered)
- • BLS

- • Willingness to teach both formally and informally.

Experience and knowledge

- • Evidence of Continued Professional Development

- • Previous experience of working in a speciality area
- • Post registration experience
- • Previous Endoscopy experience

Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
