STAFF CAR PARKING

Staff Car Parking on the West Suffolk Hospital Site is eligible for individuals working outside of the core hours, 07:00 – 18:30.

For individuals working within the core hours, the Trust offers parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack on the West Suffolk Hospital website.

This parking restriction does not apply if an individual is required to work on a weekend or if they are required to complete “on call” duties within their role.

Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc/MSc)
HCPC registration

Desirable criteria

Relevant clinical courses

Experience & Knowledge

Essential criteria

Extensive experience as a qualified therapist within a range of settings, including Neurology.
Documented evidence of Clinical Professional Development (CPD) demonstrating transferable skills.

Desirable criteria

Previous experience in NHS or similar with specific experience within respiratory, medicine and neurology
Practice Educators Course/ Evidence of previous teaching experience
Experience of supervising students or staff

Skills & Abilities

Peer MDT diagnostic decision-making, with the support of the senior clinical MDT where required
Tech-enabled outcome report writing
Outcome calls with parents and families (via video call)

As a Senior Assessor, you have the opportunity to focus on delivering direct care. Furthermore, if you have the relevant experience and skills, you can take on an additional responsibility. We limit this to one responsibility to allow for focused time on that topic, rather than having your time stretched too thinly. When taking on an additional responsibility, your case volume is reduced, making time available for this focused time.

For Senior Assessors, additional responsibility options include supporting more complex cases, ensuring quality assurance, providing training, facilitating family engagement, and contributing to pathway development.
