• Undertake and interpret visual acuity assessments across all patient groups, including infants, adults with learning difficulties, and patients with complex needs.

• Plan, implement and review individualised treatment programmes using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice, working as an autonomous practitioner.

• Develop appropriate discharge plans and facilitate onward referrals where required.

• Undertake Orthoptic clinics across community and off-site settings and contribute to service delivery across the Trust.

• Participate in extended roles to support service development and patient care pathways.

• Act as Lead Orthoptic Clinical Tutor, coordinating and supporting the training of undergraduate students, apprentices and pre-registration optometrists.
