Job overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator to join our well-established team in our busy office in Chertsey, following administrative processes for tasks supporting our School Based Need clinicians and service users. You will support the team in general administrative work and line manage band 3 administrators.
In addition, you will be expected to support the team with tasks such as formatting letters, populating and managing spreadsheets, processing referrals and supporting the Business Leads with any ad hoc tasks. You will need to have a keen eye for accuracy and be competent in all aspects of Microsoft office.
Main duties of the job
Suitable for someone who is able to co-ordinate work effectively in a busy environment and provide support, motivation and guidance to other team members. Suitable for someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service.
The post holder is expected to act on their own initiative on a daily basis to ensure the effective running of the service, prioritising their own workload as required. This is a key role within a developing service and the job requires a high degree of flexibility in response to workload agendas.
The post holder is expected to liaise effectively and professionally with all levels of staff, external organisations and the public, dealing with confidential information in an appropriate manner.

To provide office administrative duties for SBN.
The main duties of the role include: managing a busy email inbox, containing referrals and letter requests, booking of rooms, answering and directing phone calls and emails, plus any other administrative duties.

Qualifications required
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 4 in Business Admin or equivalent experience (4 years)
- Good working knowledge of administrative and secretarial processes e.g. electronic filing systems and formatting documents/reports
Desirable criteria
- Previously worked for the NHS or Private Healthcare on a similar role
Experience Required
Essential criteria
- Minimum three to four years’ experience working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft teams.
- 4 years’ experience of clerical and administrative work requiring a high degree of accuracy and working in accordance with policies/procedures
Desirable criteria
- Experience handling confidential information
