Job overview

The Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) will work under the direct supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse . The RN maintains overall responsibility for ensuring that daily consultant-led and pre-admission clinics are delivered smoothly and effectively, with the valuable support of the post holder. As a key member of the clinical team, the HCSW will be expected to provide safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care to patients in line with service standards.
The post holder will be accountable for their own practice, working within clearly defined boundaries of competence and in accordance with the scope of the role. While the Registered Nurse retains professional accountability for the care provided, the HCSW will contribute significantly to patient wellbeing by supporting the delivery of compassionate, patient-centred care.
We are looking for individuals who are not only committed to delivering excellent standards of care but who also demonstrate genuine empathy, compassion, and a strong passion for supporting this client group. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
