At Epsom General Hospital, our paediatric services include:

  • Acute Paediatric Ward: Focused care for children with urgent needs.
  • Medical Day Units and Outpatients: Flexible options for ongoing treatments.
  • Level 1 Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Service: Providing specialized oncology care.
  • Dedicated Psychiatric Liaison Service: Supporting mental health needs.

Additionally, you’ll join a wider team of over 25 paediatric specialist nurses, community children’s nurses, and safeguarding specialists—opening doors to broaden your expertise across various paediatric disciplines.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will;

  • provide evidenced based, high quality assessment and care to children and their families attending the Emergency Department
  •  supervise, support and educate other team members, including nursing and medical students
  • develop and maintain advanced Emergency Nursing skills 
  • advise on health promotion and prevention of illness/injury
  • advocate for children and families 
  • ensure safe and effective clinical practice and enhance patient experience.
  • ensure the promotion and implementation of trust policies and the effective delivery of organisational objectives

We have recently increased our B6 establishment,  to support junior nurses in the department.
