Job overview
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Doctor as a Specialist Clinical Fellow ( ST3+) in Acute Medicine at Frimley Park Hospital.
We are looking for a proactive and passionate individual to work with a fantastic team of doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, nurses and medical technical assistants. We have regular medical students, physician assistant students and clinical observers on our unit. Our trainees come from the KSS Deanery with 2 Acute Internal Medicine registrars already in place, as well as Internal Medicine and ACCS Trainees within the department.
Each post rotates between the ambulatory care (SDEC) unit and the main AMU inpatient ward. There is regular teaching within the unit and a wealth of specialty experience in the 11 consultants that support the unit.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of acute medical conditions while ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent clinical outcomes. You will be encouraged to grow as a clinician and participate in governance including mortality reviews, QIPs, departmental & trust-wide educational activities. You will have the opportunity to teach the medical and physician assistant students within the department & present on the departmental peer led teaching
program.

Applicants must have completed the Foundation Training programme and must have worked a minimum of 24 months as a Doctor in the NHS.
Full GMC registration at the time of submission of application is essential.

- Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays as required
