Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised individual to join our Blood Sciences team as a Blood Science Support Officer on a part time basis for 26 hours a week. The post holder will be responsible for receiving referred Biochemistry sample result reports, accurately entering results onto the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and ensuring they are ready for authorisation by the duty biochemist. In addition, you will manage the shared results inbox, responding to and resolving general queries in a timely and professional manner.

You will also play an important part in collating, preparing, and distributing laboratory results to commercial customers, either electronically or by post, helping us to maintain our commitment to excellent service delivery.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively to deadlines. You will be expected to provide weekend cover on a rota basis to support service continuity.

If you are proactive, methodical, and keen to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient and customer-focused laboratory services, we would love to hear from you.
