Come and join our compassionate, supportive and inclusive HR team with a dedicated and well-established International Resourcing Team at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation trust.

The International Resourcing Team plays a vital part in supporting the trust’s short medium and long-term workforce needs and has recently been awarded the Pastoral Care Award by NHS England. The team supports the on boarding of all new international recruits for nursing, midwifery and additional clinical and diagnostic divisions at the trust. We also support the international workforce with their right to work compliance and provide ongoing pastoral care support.

The International Resourcing and Project Advisor’s role supports the trust’s international resourcing activity both direct and third party models to ensure the trust workforce needs are met at all times, taking responsibility for the end to end international recruitment process.

Job overview

To make an effective contribution to reaching the Trust’s vision, strategic objectives and key work programmes. Co-ordinating logistics for overseas and European recruitment programmes and providing support at meetings and project work taking place within the department.

Main duties of the job

The International Resourcing & Projects Advisor is responsible for providing project support and information/analysis to support the International Resourcing Manager in order to contribute and reinforce the implementation of the Trust’s Resourcing Strategy. The International Resourcing & Projects Advisor will be required to manage and plan their own workload against constantly changing and potentially conflicting priorities, and will need to be flexible, resilient and able to respond to deadlines.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Provide specialist resourcing advice to managers on the range of recruitment issues including UKVI /visas and certificates of sponsorship, specialist suppliers e.g.: recruitment agencies and recruitment events.
  • Ensure that all activity is recorded on local tracking system (currently the Recruitment Tracker and Trac).
  • Implement and maintain the communication strategy with all overseas and EEA suppliers.
  • Maintain close links with Occupational Health colleagues and act as a link between candidates, suppliers and occupational health to facilitate the implementation of clearances, as well as other work related issues.
  • Advise suppliers, candidates and managers on Trust recruitment processes in accordance with employment legislation and Trust policies.
  • Establish and maintain a centralised International Resourcing folder and TRAC, ensuring that key documents and folders are saved and can be accessed by the relevant members of the HR team.
  • Establish and maintain the relevant pages upon the Trust’s internet page/s, pertaining to International resourcing and events.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent (relevant) experience
  • CPP or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • CIPD qualification (Recruitment module)

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Recent knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment / HR Best practice
  • Demonstrable experience within a Resourcing / Recruitment working environment
  • Experience supporting managers with resourcing/HR processes
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of managing 3rd part supplier relationships (e.g. recruitment agencies)
