AfC Band 4

Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to join our busy Nuclear Medicine team.  The Department currently contains 3 GE SPECT/CT imaging systems. We participate in a full range of imaging, non-imaging investigations and therapies and provide support to many specialities from within the hospital as well as a number of external users

You will need to have excellent communication skills, and will be able to deliver high standards of care to patients attending the Department for investigations.  You will work under the guidance of a senior radiographer, and will be required to carry out a variety of imaging investigations, image analysis and other procedures associated with the service delivery.

You will be expected to participate on the GFR venepuncture rota and the Cardiac Stress test rota.

Ideally, you will should have some previous experience of working within a Nuclear Medicine department or other Healthcare environment, and venepuncture competency, however, full training will be available.

You should currently hold an NVQ 2 or 3 in Health or Health and Social Care.

You will need to be flexible with your working hours as there are times when we are required to work extended days to fully support the service.

Please note – if you do not have any Nuclear Medicine experience we might appoint to a training grade for the first year under annexe 21 of Agenda for Change.
