Job overview

We are searching for an Trust Doctors, experienced FY2 level to join the Royal Surrey Hospital as part of our FY2 rotation programme.

We have the following 4 month rotation available:

Gastroenterology- April -August 2026

There are the following opportunities and support measures available:

  • Educational and Clinical Supervisor support
  • Access to Horus e-portfolio for completion of Foundation training

 for those who have not completed ARCP at Fy2 level.

  • Simulation sessions
  • Educational study budget of £860.00
  • Study leave (12 days in total) to attend courses or have tasters in different specialities
  • Self- development  time (1 day a month) to support audit and career development
  • Weekly curriculum linked Foundation teaching including careers workshops and interview skills for all Foundation doctors.
  • Health and well-being lead to support junior doctors in training

Main duties of the job

The Royal Surrey Hospital has an excellent reputation for supporting all junior doctors throughout their training and is a truly welcoming environment.

“Same treatment as training doctors. Literally the same! Trust doctors have the same teaching, portfolio, QIP, leadership, simulation training, and opportunities as doctors in training programmes.   • Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • MBBS or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • BSc or equivalent
  • Distinction/Honours/Prizes/publications

Experience

  • Have completed F1 competencies or equivalent
  • Previous experience of Surgery, Medicine at FY1 level

Skills

  • Sound basic clinical skills
