We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Band 7 Specialist Podiatrist to join our Podiatry team -Adult Community Services. If you are looking for a new challenge or ready to develop your career, and have a passion for patient care, this is the role for you.
Main duties of the job
Role Details & Location
You will work as an integral part of the community Podiatry team, providing professional, quality planned care to patients using specialist skills. The service operates Monday to Friday with no weekend or bank holiday working.
This role is based at either the Jarvis Centre or Haslemere Hospital.
You will work across a variety of locations, including community clinics, hospitals, and the domiciliary service. You will have a specialist skillset in either MSK or Diabetes/wound care within the scope of podiatry

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
You will assess, diagnose, develop, and implement individual treatment plans for a complex caseload, working as an autonomous practitioner. The role offers the opportunity to take part in nail surgery rotations, including the nail assessment clinic, and, if applicable to your specialty, undertake musculoskeletal assessments and orthoses prescription. You will provide treatment to adults and children.
You will also be responsible for supporting and supervising Band 5 Podiatrists, assistants, and students. You will be supported by a team of leads and established members of the service.
Essential Requirements:
- BSc in Podiatric Medicine or equivalent.
- HCPC Registration. POM-A & POM-S annotated.
- Experience and knowledge of specialist areas of diabetes and vascular problems OR MSK at B7 level.
- Driver's licence and access to a car is essential for this community-based role.

- Certificate in local anaesthesia
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
- Member of relevant professional body Health Professions council Registration (HCPC).
- 3-5 years post graduate experience.
- Evidence of post graduate CPD training in relevant fields
- Experience and knowledge of core podiatry

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
