This rotational post will work closely with our other 2 WTE band 5 posts. Each rotation will provide plenty of opportunity to develop skills and knowledge within all areas of dietetics including more specialist areas such as respiratory, haematology, cardiology and care of the elderly. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop skills and experience within the outpatient setting. We run a preceptorship programme to consolidate learning and our band 5 team are well supported by seniors with regular supervision.
The dietetic department at East Surrey Hospital provides both adult and paediatric services, along with a range of outpatient clinics. There is excellent IT support, opportunities for personal development which will include shadowing and learning from senior colleagues working in specialist areas of dietetics e.g. paediatrics, gastroenterology, stroke, surgery and critical care. We have a robust CPD programme in place.
