Job overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Emergency Practitioner (EP) to join our well-established minors team in the Emergency Department. We would also consider applicants who possess the required qualifications but have minimal experience as a practitioner. In this case, the role would be offered as a Trainee Emergency Practitioner at AfC Band 6 for a period of approximately one year. If successful a trainee EP, you would progress to a qualified Emergency Practitioner at AfC Band 7
You will be assessing, managing, and treating adults and children presenting with minor injuries and illnesses. You will also have the opportunity to manage more complex cases and perform advanced procedures while working as part of a large, multi-professional team. In addition to the Emergency Practitioner role, we have a large team of ACPs, making this position an excellent stepping stone for those interested in applying for an ACP role in the future.
On joining our friendly and enthusiastic team, you will benefit from opportunities to develop your own and other’s practice through clinical supervision, lead change, and develop and implement new guidelines or procedures. Additional benefits include: CPD time as part of your rostered hours, Induction programme and Self-rostering pattern, to cover a service currently from 0800 – midnight, 7 days a week, but this maybe extended to 24/7 cover in the future.
