Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to join Matrons team to support the safety and quality agenda of the Emergency Department on a full time basis.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for Emergency Department Majors and Paediatrics  within the Medicine Division providing leadership and supporting the Senior Nurses and their teams. You will lead the safety and quality standards within Emergency Department through completion of the relevant audits, acting on results. You require experience in nursing workforce management including rostering, development of staff and supporting students whilst creating a learning environment. 

 

The individual with the appropriate experience, skills and education, needs to be dynamic and responsive within the role. You will be a visible leader providing support and motivation to the nursing teams whilst working closely with the clinical leads. In addition you will work closely with the Divisional Chief Nurse & the Head of Nursing who will ensure you are supported in this role and assist with your own personal professional development.
