An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic consultant team as the 19th member for a locum fixed term post as a Locum Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care, with a focus on maternal health and benign conditions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the expanding cancer fast track clinic and acute maternity assessment workload at the Trust. In addition, they will provide consultant led Labour Ward, and contributing flexibly to the needs of the department to address performance targets in gynaecology and obstetrics.

Main duties of the job

Surrey & Sussex Healthcare is a large acute trust based in Redhill. Our Obstetric and Gynaecology department delivers 4500 women per year and forms part of the Women and Children’s Services directorate with all inpatient maternity services at East Surrey Hospital.

This is an exciting time to join us; we are a progressive cohesive strong team and seeking enthusiastic colleagues to work with us to take the department forward building on current strengths.

 The successful applicant will be an integral member of the Obstetrics team covering Obstetric on calls ,Antenatal day unit ,Caesarean Section lists, Gynaecology and Antenatal clinics

The local area is an attractive part of the Surrey-Sussex border and offers a wide range of housing including prestigious residential areas and pretty villages. There is a choice of good quality state and private schools and excellent leisure amenities close at hand. National and international communications allow easy access to the motorway network, Gatwick Airport and the Channel Ports.
