Job overview

East Surrey Hospital Occupational Therapy Department is a friendly, forward thinking and innovative department with a well- established CPD program and a focus on developing staff. 

We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate OTs to participate in our wide range of clinical rotations. 

Rotations are available in the following clinical areas:

  • Trauma and elective Orthopaedics
  • General Surgical and Amputee Team
  • Stroke and Neuro Therapy Team
  • Front Door Team- ED
  • Care of the Elderly Team
  • Intermediate Care
  • Medical Team
  • Cardio Respiratory team

The Therapy department is committed to providing an environment of excellent professional growth. We hold daily team huddles and regular departmental meetings; ensuring effective communication within the teams. We have dedicated CDP time, regular performance reviews and service development projects across the bands. Supervision is highly regarded within the department as a method of ensuring all staff are supported in their professional development and career progression. Furthermore, the department has a structured in-service training programme alongside monthly Band 5 peer support meetings.

Our department operates an integrated therapy service, where Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists work alongside each other in each of the clinical areas.
