Job overview

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive individual to join our outpatient team in a eceptionist role. This is a key front-facing position supporting the smooth running of daily clinics and ensuring a positive experience for patients and staff.

The postholder will be responsible for providing an efficient, welcoming reception and administrative service for the outpatient areas at East Surrey and Crawley hospitals.

The role includes reception duties relating to patient verification, recording the patient on the Trust’s Patient Administration System, booking patient appointments and dealing with external telephone enquiries from patients, GPs, and other associated hospitals and internal stakeholders.

Postholder will need to support the service Monday to Friday excluding weekends.  Although based in East Surrey Hospital, the postholder may be required to work in Crawley Hospital to meet the needs of the service.
