Rotational Clinical Pharmacist

NHS AfC: Band 6

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join the SaSH clinical pharmacy team. This role is suitable for a trainee pharmacist due to qualify in July 2025, a pharmacist looking for a career change, or a band 6 pharmacist looking for progression.

Our team has more than 100 staff, half of whom are pharmacists. The successful applicant will rotate through a different clinical specialty every three months, including acute, cardiology, endocrine, elderly, surgery, respiratory, paediatrics, and medicines information. Each speciality has a mini-team, led by a Band 7 pharmacist, is comprised of Band 6 pharmacists and MMTs. The lead pharmacists will support you through each bespoke rotation workbook and specific objectives.

We are a friendly and progressive department with a strong emphasis on training and development, we support our pharmacists to undertake a fully funded three-year clinical diploma including the opportunity to become a prescribing pharmacist.

Progression from a band 6 to a band 7 post is automatic once relevant milestones have been achieved.

The successful candidate should be adaptable to new situations, capable of using their own initiative and patient centred at heart.

For more information take a look at our Pharmacy Recruitment page on the Trust Website https://www.surreyandsussex.nhs.uk/work-us/pharmacy-recruitment and click on the Hear from our Staff -including an interview with one of our current rotational pharmacists.
