Job overview

Are you a registered pharmacist passionate about evidence-based practice and patient care? Join us to lead and develop the Medicines Information (MI) service at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate a high-quality MI service, providing accurate, timely, and evaluated advice to patients, GPs, pharmacists, and other stakeholders.

Support safe, cost-effective prescribing and lead on audits, risk assessments, and research.

Promote the Patient Medicines Helpline and deliver specialist education and training.

Ensure compliance with UKMI standards and validate junior staff work.

Drive service improvements and contribute to clinical guidelines and intranet content.

Lead and develop the MI team, manage recruitment, and support staff development.

Support Trust objectives including medicines optimisation, unlicensed drugs, and recalls.

 

Requirements:

Registered pharmacist with a GPhC-recognised Pharmacy degree and postgraduate clinical qualification or equivalent.

5+ years post-registration, 3+ in specialist clinical pharmacy or management.

Strong clinical reasoning, communication, leadership, and IT skills.

Commitment to patient-first care and SASH values.
