Job overview

Are you interested in joining our pharmacy team at East Surrey Hospital?
We offer a nationally recognised qualification, fully supported training, and the opportunity to work in a progressive, dispensary environment. We provide excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.

This is a varied role involving work across different areas of our dispensary mini-teams, giving you valuable experience in the use of medicines across a wide range of specialties. Duties include dispensing medicines from prescriptions, answering telephone calls, and responding to queries and other tasks.

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting either hospital or retail is desirable but not essential, as full in-house training will be provided. This includes support to obtain a BTEC Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills. To be eligible for enrolment on the Level 2 qualification, you must have GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject (Science desirable).

Working hours will depend on specific service needs and will include participation in late duties, weekends, and bank holiday rotas. Please note that the role involves a significant amount of manual handling.
