Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Nurse/ODP

Job overview
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Theatre Department.
There are 10 theatres within our East Surrey site, providing 24-hour emergency cover and elective operating, and 4 theatres at our Crawley site, providing day surgery procedures. Specialities covered across both sites include;
- Ophthalmology
- Gynaecology
- Obstetrics (East Surrey Hospital only)
- ENT
- Orthopaedics
- Trauma
- General (including breast, paediatrics (East Surrey Hospital only), dental, colorectal, upper GI)
- Urology
- CEPOD (East Surrey Hospital only)
The post will be based within Theatres on the East Surrey Hospital site, where we provide 24/7 cover and this requires shift rotation, including; weekends, night duty and an on-call commitment.
The successful candidate will provide high quality care and support to patients and staff working within the scrub role of the operating theatre.
We pride ourselves on supporting staff through training and development.
You will be keen to develop and contribute to the delivery of high quality, safe care with a real focus on continually improving the patient experience.
The successful candidate should have a “can do” approach in supporting the theatre, wards and departments objectives and they will be able to demonstrate the Trust Values and expected behaviours. Previous theatre experience would be desirable.
