We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic and highly motivated Cardiac Physiologists to join our welcoming and supportive team at Wexham Park Hospital.

Our forward-thinking department delivers a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations and therapies, including:

Ambulatory Monitoring

Exercise Tolerance Testing

Pacemaker, ICD, and Complex Device implantation and follow-up

Angiography

We are committed to expanding physiologist-led services and place a strong emphasis on supporting staff with opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and career progression.

This role is ideal for a Physiologist with solid core knowledge and skills who is eager to take the next step in their career and contribute to the development of our innovative service.

Main duties of the job

Support the delivery of a high-quality Cardiac Investigation Service.

Perform a broad range of diagnostic investigations, including:

Echocardiography

Pacemaker, ICD, and complex device interrogation and follow-up (with supervision)

Assist in device implant procedures (PPM/ICD/CRT).

Assist in all invasive investigations within the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and produce comprehensive reports.

Lead on Exercise Tolerance Testing.

Undertake and report on Holter monitoring analysis.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology
  • Intermediate Life Support Skills
  • Intermediate Life Support Skills
  • Registration with HCPC or RCCP

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Extensive experience in physiological investigations
  • Substantial general physiological measurements experience
  • Demonstrate competency to lead in ECG, ETT and Ambulatory Monitoring

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to provide technical reports
  • Positive attitude to change
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathetic approach to staff and patients
  • IT literate
  • Good presentation skills
