Senior Population Health Analyst - Connected Care

NHS AfC: Band 8a

NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board was formed on 1 July 2022 under the Health and Care Act 2022, replacing NHS Frimley Clinical Commissioning Group.

The ICB is the new statutory NHS organisation responsible for planning and delivering health and care services. It will work collaboratively with partner organisations including the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, people and communities across the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System (ICS).

We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all. We believe that the best employers are those that reflect the communities they serve. We want to increase the diversity of our NHS leadership and particularly encourage applications from women, people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, LGBT communities, younger candidates and from people with lived experience of disability, who we know are all under-represented in these important roles.

We are committed to delivering a trustworthy, flexible and responsible staff culture.

Job overview

We are seeking a Senior Population Health Analyst who will use high‑quality analysis to directly support improved care, prevention and wellbeing across our local population. Working in the Exploratory, Evaluation, Planning and Strategic Insights function, you will help the system understand population needs, explore emerging issues and provide evidence that strengthens decision‑making, planning and service improvement.

Main duties of the job

You will apply advanced analytical techniques, interpret uncertainty and generate insight that supports clinicians, commissioners and operational teams to take informed, population‑focused action. The role involves co‑creating analysis with stakeholders, shaping questions, and communicating findings in clear, compelling ways that support the best possible outcomes for local people.

With curiosity and a willingness to innovate, you will also contribute to developing analytical approaches, supporting colleagues and ensuring high standards across the function.

Why this role?
If you enjoy exploring complex questions and turning data into actionable insight that helps improve health, services and equity across the local population, this role provides meaningful opportunities to influence real-world change.

Working for our organisation

From 1 April 2026, Thames Valley ICB will exist following the cluster period of Frimley ICB and BOB ICB. The Thames Valley ICB will operate under a strengthened strategic commissioning model with a greater focus on long‑term population health planning, outcomes‑focused commissioning, and system‑wide leadership. To deliver this effectively, teams will require enhanced capabilities in data‑driven decision making and population health management. It will be essential for the new organisation to have strong skills and expertise in data acquisition, management, and analysis to support this intelligence‑led approach.
